FR. JIM’S LAST DAY  with us at Intercession is Sunday, 29 September.  He will be going back into retirement. The bishops and diocesan staff are at work searching for a permanent priest.  During the time when there is no Priest in Charge, the Wardens assume much of the responsibility of the priest, including presiding at Vestry meetings and supervision of staff. Remember the next Sunday, October 6, there is only one mass at 3pm with Fr. Albert as our guest. It’s Homecoming!

MANY ACTIVITIES RESUME. Evening Prayer on Zoom resumes Tuesdays and Thursdays at 4:30 pm, starting 10 September. The Senior Group resumes Tuesday, 10 September at 1pm. The Tuesday eucharist at noon and guided meditation resumed 3 september and will continue through 24 September. 

BUS TRIP. Tickets are now on sale for the bus trtp to Wild Creek Casino on October 26. $50

MANY BRAVE SOULS came to church this summer during some of the worst heat in a very long time. Several Sundays hit a Real Feel of over 100 degrees. Here are the averages for Sundays: June average was 111; July was 108; August was an average of 96. 

MEMORIAL MASS. On Tuesday, September 17th, 12 noon, we will have a memorial mass for two members of Valentina Carmona’s family: her husband, Jaime Benjamin, and her son, Serzando Carmona. Valentina is now living in New Jersey. 

10 O’CLOCK NEWS. Teah Wulah and Sandy Owens have taken the initiative to organize lite refreshments for the 11 am Sunday coffee hour. They will have a sign-up sheet. Think simple. Nothing too fancy. 

CHOIRS RESUME. Both choirs, 10 and 12, are starting again. If you want to give it a try, don’t be shy. We would love to have you up front.

NOTICIAS Y NOTAS

 EL ÚLTIMO DÍA DE  Pd. JIM con nosotros en Intercession es el domingo 29 de septiembre.  Volverá a jubilarse. Los obispos y el personal diocesano están trabajando en la búsqueda de un sacerdote permanente.  Durante el tiempo en que no hay un sacerdote a cargo, los guardianes asumen gran parte de la responsabilidad del sacerdote, incluida la presidencia de las reuniones de la junta y la supervisión del personal. Recuerde que el próximo domingo 6 de octubre solo habrá una misa a las 3 p.m. con el P. Alberto como nuestro invitado. ¡Es el regreso a casa!

MUCHAS ACTIVIDADES SE REANUDAN. La oración vespertina en Zoom se reanudan los martes y jueves a las 4:30 p. m., a partir del 10 de septiembre. El grupo Senior se reanuda el martes 10 de septiembre a las 13:00 horas. La eucaristía del martes al mediodía y la meditación guiada se reanudaron el 3 de septiembre y continuarán hasta el 24 de septiembre. 

VIAJE EN AUTOBÚS. Ya están a la venta los billetes del autobús trtp al Wild Creek Casino el 26 de octubre. $50

MUCHAS ALMAS VALIENTES vinieron a la iglesia este verano durante el peor calor en mucho tiempo. Varios domingos se alcanzó una sensación real de más de 100 grados. Aquí están los promedios de los domingos: el promedio de junio fue 111; Julio fue 108; Agosto fue un promedio de 96. 

MISA CONMEMORATIVA. El martes 17 de septiembre a las 12 del mediodía tendremos una misa en memoria de dos miembros de la familia de Valentina Carmona: su esposo, Jaime Benjamín, y su hijo, Serzando Carmona. Valentina ahora vive en Nueva Jersey. 

NOTICIAS DE LAS 10 EN PUNTO. Teah Wulah y Sandy Owens han tomado la iniciativa de organizar refrigerios ligeros para la hora del café del domingo a las 11 am. Contarán con una hoja de inscripción. Piensa de forma sencilla. Nada demasiado sofisticado. 

SE REANUDAN LOS COROS. Ambos coros, el de 10 y el de 12, empiezan de nuevo. Si quieres intentarlo, no seas tímido. Nos encantaría tenerte al frente.
